Desiderata

This is based on Italian Manuscript designs  from the mid to late fifteenth century.
The text is a popular poem written by  Max Ehrmann in 1927.
This style of illumination is known as Italian “White Vine”.  

Hand painted on calfskin parchment using watercolours, ink and embellished with 23ct gold leaf.
